Made with special care for water softness, Hydrosoft water softening salts dissolve evenly, so there are no problems with undissolved salt building up in the base of your water softener.
Hydrosoft water softeners give optimum performance - especially when used with Hydrosoft salt tablets. Other makes of water softener will either use granular salt or salt tablets. Consult your literature to see whether the manufacturer recommends granules or tablets - Hydrosoft granular or tablet salt is 99.9% pure and suitable for use in all makes of water softener.
For convenience and choice, these products come in handy 10kg bags and the larger family sized 25kg bag. Tough packaging ensures easy handling and storage.
How a water softener works
A water softener works by passing incoming hard water through a resin vessel - a sealed container containing ion exchange resin beads. These beads attract minerals (such as calcium and magnesium) from the water and stops scale and scum getting into your system. These would otherwise accumulate on heating elements - raising fuel costs and reducing efficiency as well as causing other problems associated with hard water.
When these beads become saturated, they need to be cleansed with a weak brine solution. The brine and previously collected scale and scum are then sent to drain. At no stage does the salt come into contact with the water. A special water softener salt needs to be used which is 99.9% pure; Hydrosoft salt tablets both cleans the resin beads and regenerates them and is available from a nationwide network of suppliers.
A Hydrosoft water softener is fully automated and has a number of inherent features that provide soft water round the clock. A Hydrosoft water softener begins to descale your system from the moment it is installed. Existing limescale deposits will be dissolved and washed away to return your system to its original state. With no scale to heat, you could save up to 70% on heating bills alone.
